ADVISOR WORKSHOPS
* September 2-3 New Advisor Workshop: New Advisor Workshop is essential to all new instructors in SkillsUSA. In this workshop one will learn how to conduct chapter development and how to implement key components of SkillsUSA into one's career technical program. One will also learn the operations of the SkillsUSA CMSystem for membership enrollment and registration for conferences. Send an email to bwarren@ksde.org if you are a new advisor and plan on attending this workshop.
* September 3 Annual Advisor Workshop: It is important that all SkillsUSA Kansas advisors attend this meeting. The workshop will provided professional development, updates from the national office and overview of the years upcoming conferences, updates on the championship competitions, as well as opportunities to have input during the panel discussions. Also at this meeting the Professional Members conduct an annual meeting electing district school representatives to the board.
DISTRICT CONFERENCES
* September 21 District Conference: Each of the seven district in Kansas will meet and hold an annual district meeting introducing SkillsUSA to new potential members and engage in district activities. Election of District Officers will be conducted during the districts business meeting session. The elected officers of each district will attend and serve as voting delegates to elect this years State Officer Team at the Fall Leadership Conference in October.
